Board Interest Positions

Section 1 – President
Serves as Board Chair, presides over membership and Board meetings, manages public communications, appoints committee chairs (with Board approval), and performs other duties as required by the Board.

Section 2 – President-Elect
Assists the President and assumes their duties in their absence. Oversees long-term planning, organizes the annual Total Rewards Seminar, co-plans the Membership Appreciation Event with the VP of Social Media & Networking, and performs other Board-assigned duties.

Section 3 – Vice President of Administration
Coordinates administrative tasks across the Board, monitors Association emails, manages meeting minutes, maintains Board records (excluding financial and committee records), and ensures events receive proper continuing education credits.

Section 4 – Vice President of Communications & Web Development
Develops, edits, and distributes membership communications. Manages the MSCA website, ensures timely updates, provides training to new board members, and collaborates with the VP of Social Media & Networking on web content.

Section 5 – Vice President of Finance
Oversees all financial affairs of the MSCA, including receipt and deposit of funds, payment processing, accounting, financial reporting, regulatory filings, and online payment program management. May provide a security bond if required by the Board.

Section 6 – Vice President of Membership
Manages membership information, marketing, promotions, and drives membership growth. Maintains the member database, creates name tags, and tracks RSVPs for meetings and events in collaboration with the VP of Administration.

Section 7 – Vice President of Surveys & Professional Development
Coordinates and publishes the MSCA salary survey, conducts topical surveys, manages survey logistics and reporting, and develops programs in conjunction with the VP of Programs. Oversees seminar planning, speaker coordination, and educational offerings for members and the public.

Section 8 – Vice President of Programs
Plans and coordinates general membership meetings, including speaker scheduling, locations, and logistics. Assists the President-Elect with the annual Total Rewards Seminar and collaborates with the VP of Professional Development.

Section 9 – Vice President of social media & Networking
Manages MSCA social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter), posts event updates and live content and shares relevant materials with members. Plans bi-annual networking events, coordinates sponsors, and assists with the annual Membership Appreciation Event.
